The portrait of America's legendary entertainer and patriot Martha Raye exquisitely painted by America's finest portrait artist Hyacinthe Kuller Baron who has portrayed and been  commissioned by many other Hollywood stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, Joan Crawford, Marilyn Monroe and so many other celebrities, is coming to the aid of Martha's widower Mark Harris after finding out that the portrait has been stolen.

Martha Raye left it to her beloved husband. Mark and Martha recognized the painting as a pinnacle in Hyacinthe's career and both dearly loved the emotional quality and beauty of the woman, star, Medal of Freedom winner and famous comedienne

Martha Raye loved the portrait so much she commissioned a portrait
of her best friend actress Joan Crawford.

Martha Raye became godmother to Hyacinthe's youngest son.

The beautiful model Herrissa, a favorite of artist
Hyacinthe, was killed when hit by two cars on Highway one.
The sculpture appeared at a memorial service held on main beach in Laguna.

For the opening a nude model was placed in the window
in front of Hyacinthe's painting.
Madison Avenue was closed to traffic from 77th to 78th street
for a documentary film of the event.
